We only used our 19 Qt Frabill Bait Station twice before the aerator failed. The Bait Station itself seems sturdy, but the aerator is clearly defective based on my own experience, and that of many others based on reviews you will find here and on Amazon. My aerator had no corrosion, suffered no misuse, and we removed the batteries prior to storage etc. I spent extra to get what I thought would be a high-quality system from a good brand so it would last. I even bought the optional AC adapter...only to have an aerator failure after using it just two times! A customer shouldn't have to fork out an additional $50 to replace an aerator that clearly has design or manufacturing problems. Unfortunately that appears to be my only option. We rarely fish so it was out of the 12 month warranty period when it failed. I echo what I've read in reviews here and on Amazon: I wish I would have read more of them before I made my purchase since this appears to be a well documented and ongoing problem! At best it appears customer satisfaction is now an afterthought, and at worst this is a designed profit play based on many $50 aftermarket replacement aerator purchases.

I purchased this unit off of Amazon a little over a week ago. The first time I used the unit the water was spilling out whenever I would lift it up then I noticed that the gray seal that is around the top does not close or seal against the bottom, it is recessed. I also noticed a large section of seal not touching each other and an indentation in the seal itself the top and bottom do not meet completely or seal when you look through the side you can see the daylight through to the other side of the unit even when this unit is latched, the water will spill out.

Just purchased the 19 bait station to do some shiner fishing on Lake Erie looked to be ideal for the boat. The first outing the pump quit working. It would go from high to low frequency without using the selector. Very upset and frustrating especially for the price and the first time using.

The lid gasket is defective, the whole lid does not seal at all you can see thru the gap. Literaly had this one day. Got it friday used it saturday and was worse then carrying a bucket without a lid. Frabill needs to give me a solution or im returning it.

Pump lasted 3 months, bought a new one for $80CDN twice and it just quit on me the other day. It’s just a year old and 2 pumps at $80 each and $149CDN for the bucket is a rip off. Buy the Engels one it’s way better and it works unlike these junk.
